Today is 12-12-12; it will never happen again, but then either will every moment of our lives! For this reason we should always live in the expectation of that moment when we will be called home to God to give an account of all these moments, which make up our eternal destiny.
I urge you to read about the wonderful apparition of Our Lady in Mexico to the holy Juan Diego. As in all of the true appearances of the Blessed Mother it abounds with wonderful truths and miracles. Here are the beautiful words of the Queen of Peace which are meant for all mankind:
“HEAR AND LET IT PENETRATE YOUR HEART, MY DEAR LITTLE SON. LET NOTHING DISCOURAGE YOU: LET NOTHING ALTER YOUR HEART OR YOUR COUNTENANCE. DO NOT FEAR ILLNESS, ANXIETY OR PAIN. AM I NOT HERE, YOUR MOTHER? ARE YOU NOT UNDER MY SHADOW AND PROTECTION? AM I NOT YOUR FOUNT OF LIFE? ARE YOU NOT UNDER THE FOLD OF MY MANTLE, IN THE CROSSING OF MY ARMS? IS THERE ANYTHING YOU NEED?”
These magnificent words of God through Our Most Blessed Lady bring us to the consciousness that we need as Catholics- to know that GOD IS ON OUR SIDE! He is not against us. He is not a vengeful God, waiting to condemn us, but is a most loving Father Who wants our salvation and good more than we could ever imagine for ourselves. He is kindness itself. He is compassion in hope and Love in Truth and HE LOVES YOU as if you were the only creation He has ever made. Remember these things and ponder them, as the Blessed Mother, in your heart.
