The wonderful abbott Father Leonard, who was Judas betrayed by his right hand man, Fr. Sebastian, (who, by the way, was told he wasn’t a priest by the Novus Ordo church from whom he got his thirty pieces of silver!) said something wonderful before he died:
“We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshiped.
If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.
If we were right then, we are right now.”
This reflection, whether or not he originated it, is full of truth. God rest his soul.
