The Great Feast of Christ the King

The Feast of Christ the King was established for the Universal Church by Pope Pius XI in 1925 as an antidote to secularism, which is a barren way of life centered on man. The feast proclaims in a striking manner Christ’s dominion, power and royalty over all society; Individuals, families, governments and all nations. So powerful and blessed is this feast day that protestants of every stripe have taken this feast into their own liturgical calendars, (yet, I daresay they never acknowledge Pius XI in their sermons!)

We hear so often the cry of “My Rights!” Has anyone ever thought of the Rights of Almighty God? The rights He possesses as Creator, Redeemer and King? It is from Him that all rights descend. It is from Him and to Him that all rights exist. The more we acknowledge, proclaim and follow His Divine Right over us and our societies the more freedom and blessing we experience. God is never outdone in generosity and wants to give us the Kingdom! “He who loses his life for My sake shall find it!”

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name.
Blessed Be Christ the King!
