Illness precluded me from writing on January 1, and even though this is the third of the month I would like to share an important thought or two.
The feast of the Circumcision of Our Blessed Lord usually takes place on January 1st. This is because Jewish boys were circumcised on the eighth day after their birth. This is still the case today among Orthodox Jews, (among whose neighborhood I live in Los Angeles.)
After the revolution of the false council in the sixties, this great and important feast day was done away with and replaced by something they call The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. Now, Our Blessed Mother is most worthy of honor and this was a very old feast day, but the sub-plantation of the Circumcision with this shows the cunning hand of the Evil One. Why? Because DIVINITY IS SO SACRED THAT IT MUST BE BETRAYED WITH A KISS. For a great example of this, one only needs to look at the “pontificate” of JPII, who spent his entire time gutting the Church while putting a devoted Marian face on it all.
It would have been alright, in some minds, to add the old feast day of Our Lady, without doing away with the Feast of the Circumcision, but that is not what happened. The Circumcision is most important not because of the obedience of Mary and Joseph to the Old Covenant; this is important, yes, but only secondarily. Primarily the Circumcision is important because it celebrates THE SHEDDING OF THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS, in anticipation of His sacrifice on Calvary! This is what was done away with, and all in the name of the Blessed Mother. Do I hear a sloppy, Judas kiss from New Rome? Do you?
This is another example of the emphasis of the Newchurch, (as compared to the True Church,) on the secondary aspect of all of Catholic thought and teaching. From the destruction of the real Mass, the blurring of the priesthood of the faithful with the Melchisedek priesthood of the clergy, to the devolution of all the sacraments. One only has to compare the form of absolution in the True Church with the one of the Newchurch. Coming back into fellowship is shown as higher than forgiveness of individual sin. To talk of the denuding of the sacrament of Extreme Unction with the “Blessing of the Sick” is too painful to recount. One day compare the two and weep with me!
One last thought… As I told you, I live in a very Orthodox Jewish neighborhood, with a temple on every corner and many Jewish schools. The Jewish girls are always dressed like young ladies. Long, uniform skirts, always ending just above the ankles, worn with leggings. No bare arms to be seen and collars always buttoned. No make-up and no fancy hair styles. They look modest and lovely.
Also in Los Angeles, there are many “Catholic” schools. The difference in the girls that go there to the Jewish girls is amazing. So-called Catholic school girls have skirts so short they look like prostitutes! I say this most sadly and with wonder that parents would allow this and pay an arm and a leg to these schools! This is more than stupidity, it is obvious that they are under a great delusion. We must all pray for these children, who lose what little faith they might have had when sent to these schools, no longer taught by nuns, because there are no longer nuns to teach! Pray for them, too. Pray for us all, and thank you for reading my observations.
