{"id":1159,"date":"2020-12-21T13:13:23","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T21:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jamiestanthony.com\/blog\/?p=1159"},"modified":"2020-12-21T13:13:23","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T21:13:23","slug":"advent-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jamiestanthony.com\/blog\/2020\/12\/21\/advent-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Advent 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1161 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/jamiestanthony.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/advent-words.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jamiestanthony.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/advent-words.jpg 640w, https:\/\/jamiestanthony.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/advent-words-300x131.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Somehow we&#8217;ve made it to the almost end of a most imperfect year.\u00a0 I have experienced much grief.\u00a0 My dear sister, Rosemary Kennedy died and my heart if bereft in the natural sorrow of her leave-taking.\u00a0 She was the finest person I ever met and she led me at a very young age to the Blessed Mother and it was the Blessed Mother who took me to her Son.\u00a0 I was able to give my sweet sister the Sacrament of Extreme Unction on her birthday.\u00a0 Holy Viaticum was hers, as well as the Plenary Indulgence at the Hour of Death.\u00a0 She told me that it was the happiest birthday she ever had!\u00a0 She was so holy that there was a palpable presence of the Holy Spirit when one was in her presence.\u00a0 She suffered from one of the most horrible illnesses in God&#8217;s fallen world- Incipient Pulmonary Fibrosis.\u00a0 She told me that the Good Lord told her she was carrying someone on her back up the Mountain of Faith and she would not know who it was until after her death.\u00a0 She prayed always, every day the full Rosary, many chaplets, and of course went to Holy Mass daily.\u00a0 Her last words were &#8220;Jesus, Mary I love you!&#8221; Also, she wore the Brown Scapular always and so earned the Sabbatine Privilege.\u00a0 I am not worried about my sister!<\/p>\n<p>I will let you know more about my dear sister as we progress with God&#8217;s help into the new year.\u00a0 Just a quick thought on the meaning of Advent for us believers.\u00a0 It begins the liturgical year.\u00a0 This is important because God is telling us in this one fact the great truth that His time and our time and not necessarily the same!\u00a0 For us the new year begins on January first.\u00a0 Let us remember that Holy Mother Church wants us to be on God&#8217;s timetable while we sojourn through this Vale of Tears!\u00a0 God&#8217;s events, or you can say ENLIGHTENMENT happen on God&#8217;s schedule and the closer we get to Him, the happier we will be.<\/p>\n<p>Also remember that you are in our daily prayers and at the altar.\u00a0 This Christmas Midnight Holy Mass will offered for all of our benefactors.\u00a0 Remember that Our Lady told St. Dominic and many other saints and seers that more souls are released from Purgatory on Christmas than at any other time of year!\u00a0 Thank you for your prayers and offerings.\u00a0 Know that each week this blog will be updated and I have many wonderful stories of faith and miracles to share with you.\u00a0 O COME, O COME EMMANUEL AND RANSOM CAPTIVE ISRAEL!<\/p>\n<p>DOMINUS VOBISCUM!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Somehow we&#8217;ve made it to the almost end of a most imperfect year.\u00a0 I have experienced much grief.\u00a0 My dear sister, Rosemary Kennedy died and my heart if bereft in the natural sorrow of her leave-taking.\u00a0 She was the finest person I ever met and she led me at a very young age to the Blessed Mother and it was&hellip;
