I have the right to make other choices besides the choice merely to run away.<\/p>\n

I have the right to say NO when I feel unready or unsafe or wary in my conscience.<\/p>\n

I have the right not to be consumed by fear.<\/p>\n

I have the right to my feelings.<\/p>\n

I have the right to make mistakes.<\/p>\n

I have the right not to smile when I cry or feel hurt.<\/p>\n

I have the right to terminate conversations with those who put me down or humiliate me.<\/p>\n

I have the right to grow and change.<\/p>\n

I have the right at times to be relaxed, playful and frivolous.<\/p>\n

I have the right to confront someone I love, without fear that the relationship will dissolve.<\/p>\n

I have the right to do stupid things without feeling stupid.<\/p>\n

I have the right to learn.<\/p>\n

I have the right not to be ashamed for what I don’t know or can’t do.<\/p>\n

I have the right to set limits for myself.<\/p>\n

I have the right to do good.<\/p>\n

I have the right to forgive myself.<\/p>\n

I have the right to unadulterated sacraments.<\/p>\n

I have the right to a Catholic burial.<\/p>\n

AND…<\/p>\n

I have the obligation to recognize these rights for others and to fulfill my Baptismal Covenant in my state of life.<\/p>\n

I have the obligation to thank the good Lord for all His tender mercies and many blessings.<\/p>\n
