We have been praying for the release from North Korea of Matthew Miller of Bakersfield, California and missionary Kenneth Bae of Lynwood, Washington, who were wrongly convicted and sentenced to prison in that country. It is interesting to note that Mr. Bae was convicted of having a Holy Bible in his possession. Today we learn of their unexpected release by their captors.
BLESSED BE GOD, IN HIS ANGELS AND IN HIS SAINTS! Our novenas of supplication to the Most Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary and dear Saint Joseph have been answered beautifully. Always remember that God answers prayer. Sometimes the answer is no, but always, always grace is given to bear with joy our trials and tribulations.
Almighty and Ever Loving God, thank you for the release of the prisoners Matthew and Kenneth. Please have mercy on all prisoners, especially those suffering for Thy Names’ sake and for Thy Holy Church. We also commend the country of North Korea to Thy healing power and pray for the all the inhabitants of that beleaguered nation. In the Holy Name of Jesus Christ we pray, with Our Blessed Mother Mary, Saint Joseph and all the Angels and Saints in Heaven and the Souls in Purgatory. Amen and Amen.
