Wisdom From The Saints

“You must not abandon the ship in a storm because you cannot control the winds…What you cannot turn to good, you must at least make as little bad as you can.” -St. Thomas Moore “All the good works in the world are not equal to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass because they are the works of men; but the… (more…)

My Daily Prayer For The Tortured

ALMIGHTY AND EVER LIVING GOD, look with pity upon all Your children who suffer under the terrible burden of torture.  Be merciful to them and give them many miracles of escape and hope.  In the very midst of their trials do not them lose sight of Your Divine Love and compassion, but send upon them Your Holy Spirit, that they… (more…)

CATHOLICSAGAINSTTORTURE.ORG

I know that the last two posts were shocking.  Our Blessed Lord Jesus came not only to give comfort to the afflicted, but to afflict the comfortable!  It is important to speak for those who can not speak for themselves: the children, the tortured, the martyred and animals;  “Bless the beasts and the children, for in this world they have… (more…)

OUTRAGE IN SYRIA- You will NEVER hear this on American Media!

A Croatian Catholic website has reported that two Christian teenagers in Syria were CRUCIFIED on April 29, 2014 for refusing to convert to Islam, where countless others have also been put to death by Muslims. A Comment On Current “Catholic” Education

It’s terrible and about as far from Catholic as you can get.  Is that provocative enough?!  I remember the wonderful Catholic education I was blessed to receive when I was young.  My dear, late Aunt Patty, (whom I believe to be a saint+) paid the tuition  for myself and my siblings to go to Catholic schools.  I never knew that… (more…)

A Fourth of July Memory

I went into the seminary right out of high school.  I had been a (proud) member of The Young Americans and had the great opportunity to sing and dance as a youth ambassador for the U.S.A.  all over the world, as well as on television, (The Julie Andrews Show.)  I credit this magnificent group as part of the reason I… (more…)

A Wise Observation

“I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima.  This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith in her liturgy, her theology and her soul.  I hear all around me innovators who wish to dismantle the sacred chapel, destroy the universal flame of… (more…)

The Great Feast of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ

Today is the Feast of the Precious Blood of Jesus, Our Dear Lord and Saviour.  July is also dedicated to His Precious Blood.  Like His Most Sacred Heart, the Precious Blood of Jesus is a magnificent symbol of His undying Love for you and me, for all of mankind. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is much, much more than… (more…)

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi

It is the constant teaching of Holy Mother Church that through the consecrated hands of the Catholic priest, Jesus Christ Himself comes down upon the altar in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, to become our very Food and Drink!  He loves us so much that He becomes our actual and spiritual sustenance.  What Love is this? that causes the… (more…)

St. Pius X

“Jesus was kind to sinners and to those who went astray.  He did not respect their false ideas, however sincere they might have appeared.  He loved them all, but He instructed them in oder to convert them and save them… He was as strong as He was gentle.  He reproved, threatened, chastised, knowing and teaching us that fear is the… (more…)
