Look not back-
Keep your face forward toward the sunrise;
For I shall rise fresh daily in thy soul
with healing on My wings!
-Francis Roberts
The more we are afflicted in this world, the greater is our assurance in the next; the more sorrow in the present, the greater will be our joy in the future.
-St. Isadore of Seville
Whenever anything disagreeable or displeasing happens to you, remember Christ crucified and be silent.
-St. John of the Cross
Many would be willing to have afflictions provided that they not be inconvenienced by them.
-St. Francis de Sales
Holy Writ tells us that the afflictions we endure here are not worthy to be even mentioned when compared to the glory that awaits us! “For eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor ever has it entered the heart of man what God has prepared for those who love Him!” Remember that God loves you with an everlasting love and that He wants you to live with Him for all eternity in bliss. Pray for yourself and especially for everyone who is suffering. By praying we open ourselves to inspiration that would not be available without this opening of the spirit. Where the precious Holy Spirit is present, all evil spirits and influences flee. Starve your doubts to death by feeding your faith with prayer and the reading of good literature and holy conversation. In this way Christ increases in the world by increasing His presence in our own little worlds.
I have the right to make other choices besides the choice merely to run away.
I have the right to say NO when I feel unready or unsafe or wary in my conscience.
I have the right not to be consumed by fear.
I have the right to my feelings.
I have the right to make mistakes.
I have the right not to smile when I cry or feel hurt.
I have the right to terminate conversations with those who put me down or humiliate me.
I have the right to grow and change.
I have the right at times to be relaxed, playful and frivolous.
I have the right to confront someone I love, without fear that the relationship will dissolve.
I have the right to do stupid things without feeling stupid.
I have the right to learn.
I have the right not to be ashamed for what I don’t know or can’t do.
I have the right to set limits for myself.
I have the right to do good.
I have the right to forgive myself.
I have the right to unadulterated sacraments.
I have the right to a Catholic burial.
AND…
I have the obligation to recognize these rights for others and to fulfill my Baptismal Covenant in my state of life.
I have the obligation to thank the good Lord for all His tender mercies and many blessings.
On this day in 1940 the great Pope Pius XII, in a radio broadcast from Vatican City told the entire world that the Nazis were committing atrocities against Catholics and the Jews in Poland. This was one of many, many times the much maligned pontiff cried out against the Nazis. He also, in this year and continuing even after the war, ordered prelates and the clergy to open their doors to Jews and others persecuted by the Germans. His efforts on their behalf at the time were acknowledged by the rabbis of Europe who travelled to Rome in 1947 to thank him publicly and in person. The Chief Rabbi of Rome and his entire family converted to Christ Jesus and became Catholics; the rabbi taking the Christian name of the pope, Eugenio as his own.
Of course, you never hear of these things from the media! You also never hear that the bishops of Germany warned the voters of their country to reject Hitler. The Archbishop of Munich, (and bishops all over Germany) held a public procession of the Blessed Sacrament and Holy relics and statues, including a gigantic crucifix on the eve of the vote to implore God and the people against the Nazis. The old newsreels of this event are easily available. Priests and nuns were treated worse than any other group in the camps. This truth was testified to by many Jews.
One last thing. The Vatican told the world about the concentration camps through diplomatic channels and also on Vatican Radio. Why did we and the allies not bomb the camps? Roosevelt knew about them. Why no action on his part? Everyone knew about the camps. Why did we not at least bomb the railways leading into them? Think about that before you condemn the Church, and study, study, study for yourself.
Remember that you must always question the media. Always question those who write the histories. Where evil churchmen have done terrible things, denounce them most assuredly, but also look for the righteous and those who followed the good Lord and His precepts. There are always three sides to every story… yours, mine and God’s.
Croatian music teacher Frane Selak has much for which to be grateful. He survived a train accident in which 17 people died. Then he survived a bus crash that killed four. Back in 1970 his car caught fire but he escaped just before it exploded. In 1996 he was driving in the mountains when he turned a corner to see a UN truck headed straight for him. His car, (a Skoda) crashed through a barrier and went over the edge, but he jumped out in the nick of time and landed in a tree just as his car exploded below him.
Then in 2003 he won the jackpot of 600,000. pounds, (English) with his first ever lottery ticket. He is now in his eighties and is planning to build a shrine to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It’s about time, Frane!
I have always thought it worth noting the people who came to worship Our Lord. First there were angels. They told the world that He was born, but who did they tell? They told shepherds. Shepherds were considered little more than criminals. They were unappreciated and extremely poor and thought to have deserved the lowly estate in which they lived their lives; yet the angels of the Lord “encamped around them” and announced to them, of all people, that the Christ was born! Not the priests of the temple, not the powerful. Shepherds. Dirty, smelly, humble shepherds. Our Lord loved shepherds. So much so that He calls Himself the Good Shepherd.
Also, the Wise Men were there. These were the astrologers of the day. They were also very rich. They studied the prophesies and knew how to discern the signs of the times and the signs in the sky. So we have the very poor and simple and the very rich and intelligent at the manger. What we don’t have are bureaucrats. We don’t have middle management. We don’t have the clergy. We have those who knew they were nothing and needed God to step in and tell them what was going on, and we have those smart enough to know that they needed to act upon their knowledge. It’s the ones in the middle that have trouble seeing what’s important. However, they are not to be blamed. It’s just that those of us in the middle are working so hard that we find it difficult knowing what’s really important. There is one thing that the shepherds and the Wise Men had in common. They both looked up- literally. That’s what we need to do. Look up. You will never stumble with your eyes on heaven.
1. Any society that aborts its babies will not survive.
2. We abort our babies and practice birth control.
3. Muslims do not abort their babies, nor do they practice birth control.
4. We are declining in population.
5. Muslims are increasing in population.
6. In less than forty years, Europe will be Muslim.
7. We are over.
Today we celebrate the great feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord. This is important not only to show that Our Lord followed the law of Moses perfectly, but because for an even more important reason: It was the first time that His Precious Blood was shed. It was a foreshadowing of His perfect sacrifice upon the Cross of Calvary.
The false council called Vatican II did away with this feast day on January 1st. Because the Sacred is so holy, when He is betrayed He is always betrayed by a Judas kiss, thus we have the imposition of the so-called feast of Mary, Mother of God by the modern NOchurch, (NO stands for Novus Ordo, their term, not mine.) Karol Wotywa was quoted as saying, “We have a new calendar, a new ethos, indeed we have a totally new church, let us call her NEWCHURCH.” You can have the Newchurch, Karol! I’ll have the True Church.
Today Catholics celebrate the Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord. Let us pray in humility for all those deluded by the false church, as she sells off parishes to pay for her sins and because she has lost so many members, protects her evil churchmen from prosecution and throws away the magnificent patrimony of Palestrina, Michaelangelo, Giotto, Bernini, Fra Angelico, etc., etc., etc., for hideous “modern art,” and music so bad it doesn’t deserve the appellation. Why people give them money remains a mystery to me. I can’t fathom paying them to degrade my religion. So sad. But then, this was all prophesied! Our Lady at La Sallette said: “Rome will become the seat of the anti-christ.” Anna Catherine Emmerich said: “there will be a new mass instituted that will be completely invalid. The people will think they are receiving the Blessed Sacrament and they will be receiving only bread from the hands of non priests who think they are priests and even from the laity. This great sacrilege of the End Times will cry out to God for vengeance! Great will be the suffering of true Catholics in that day. No churches and complete condemnation by the false church in power will hurt the Remnant faithful. However, in the end, “My Immaculate Heart will triumph and those who did not believe, will believe.” Our Lord said: “The Gates of Hell shall not prevail against My Church!”
O Lord Jesus, You lived the life we can not live. You died the death we can not die. You shed Your blood even from your infancy. Please have mercy upon us and show us the way, in love, to Love. Amen.
